At studio MM04, we understand that sustainability must be pursued from an integrative stance.
In 1987, the United Nations’ Brundtland Report proposed the first three pillars: environmental, economic, and social sustainability. In 2010, a fourth pillar, cultural sustainability was added to this model.
We have seen first hand how these four focus areas impact each other in complex ways. As we continue to work towards sustainable transformation on both global and local scales, we must integrate the pillars with each other. The future of the fashion industry relies on creating positive changes in all areas of its impact, with an full-system comprehension.
Our community
We work in close alliance and collaboration with other fashion change-makers.
